I have gathered detailed company descriptions for my partners, Canadian insurance companies. These insurers are leaders in the industry and they provide a wide range of insurance and investment products, so it is worth cheching out our assessment of their insurance policies.

ACA Assurance

ACA Assurance, also known as the Association Canado-Américaine, is the only Franco-American fraternal benefit society of its kind. It offers a variety of insurance products to its members. ACA Assurance's own travel agency organizes trips, social and cultural activities for members, awards scholarships, and publishes its own monthly magazine, Le Canado-Américain. Members of ACA Assurance usually live in North America, and are mostly concentrated in New Brunswick, Ontario, New England, Québec, and Louisiana. These are the regions where ACA is licensed to operate.

Its products include whole life and term life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment, travel insurance and more. Basic membership in ACA Assurance is only $25 per year. In return, members receive cultural benefits and a family accident cash plan, paying up to $10,000.

One of ACA's most interesting product is Guaranteed Life. It is a permanent whole life insurance plan for anyone aged 40 to 85 with difficulty obtaining insurance elsewhere; there are no health questions asked and no medical exam required.

They also offer Term 28 life insurance, an ideal protection for children, students and young workers. This insurance is payable until, and expires on, the insured person's 28th birthday.

AIG Life Insurance Company of Canada

AIG Life of Canada is a member company of American International Group, Inc. They hold a prestigious standing in world rankings, and operate in more than 130 countries and jurisdictions. The company offers a wide range of insurance products to its customers, such as universal life and term life insurance plans, critical illness plans, permanent plans, and immediate annuities.

The company also provides retirement services such as asset management, financial and retirement planning, which are available to individual clients as well as corporations and institutions. In addition, the AIG Life of Canada Universal Life plan helps to find the most suitable investment account for its customers, including investing in global stock and bond markets, managed portfolios, or other accounts. Assumption Life

Assumption Life has indisputably become one of Atlantic Canada's major insurance and financial investment companies, with more than 75,000 policies in force. It was ranked 33rd out of Atlantic Canada's top 101 companies.

Assumption Life offers a wide range of products, including individual life insurance, group insurance (life, health, dental, disability), critical illness, travel insurances, mortgage loans, financial services, annuities and segregate funds. Louisbourg Investments is an investment management and financial planning arm aimed at institutions, companies and individual portfolio holders, managing pension plans and pooled funds tailored to individual needs.

One of Assumption Life's specialty products is Golden Protection life insurance, designed for people between the ages of 40 to 80. It can be obtained without medical examination; the insurance amount triples in the case of accidental death on public transport, and doubles in the case of accidental death. There is even competitive rates for smokers.

The company also has a real estate management arm, Assumption Place Ltd, which operates rental space in New Brunswick. Their holdings include Commerce Houses in Moncton and Château Edmondson. Furthermore, if in need of office space, Carrefour Assomption in Edmundston is home to many business, with an ultramodern conference centre.

The company's community involvement is impressive, including the Assumption Foundation Scholarship Fund, support of breast cancer research in partnership with the Atlantic Cancer Research Institute, investing in the community through donations and sponsorships (particularly in education and health), and holding the Bobby Orr golf tournament. The company and its employees donate to the Tree of Hope, a non-profit foundation that offers emergency assistance to families who had experienced sudden tragic losses. The company also publishes a quarterly newsletter, The Confident Times. Their head office is located in Moncton, New Brunswick.

AXA Insurance

AXA Financial Protection enjoys an excellent reputation worldwide with a network of 4,000 brokers and advisers coast to coast. They have 2,250 well-qualified employees who help individuals and businesses to choose from a variety of life (whole, term, decreasing and universal life insurance products), accident and sickness coverage (critical illness and disability insurance) and fine art collectibles insurance plans.

AXA's Universal Life Insurance combines flexible life insurance with a savings component. Another interesting and outstanding product is the AXA Art, where individual art collectors, museums or galleries can protect their valued possessions such as paintings, sculptures, antique furnishings, vintage wine and more.

AXA offers the opportunity to fully protect your home, with products suited for single family homes and condominium owners. If you are 50 or older, additional protection is available through their Protection +50 package.

The company also provides business owners with various protection coverage, even from a total loss of income or a loss of an indispensable person. Each and every business insurance is tailored to the company's needs. Your company can choose from a wide range products, including commercial automobile insurance, marine insurance (protection for ships, crew boats, water taxies, etc.) and boiler and machinery insurance.
